Lactose Intolerance Tests in London
If you suspect that some of the foods you consume are adversely affecting your health, you can undergo specialized tests. At our clinic, food intolerance tests are conducted by Cambridge Diagnostics Laboratory.

What is Food Intolerance?
Food intolerance is often confused with food allergy, although these terms should not be used to refer to the same condition. Symptoms of food intolerance appear much later than those of an allergy—they may occur several hours or even days after consuming a particular product and can last for weeks (unlike food allergies, where symptoms are immediate).

Common Symptoms of Food Intolerance:
Common symptoms of food intolerance include: asthma, diarrhea, insomnia, headaches, joint pain, celiac disease, irritability, eczema, fibromyalgia, hypoglycemia, migraines, bedwetting, hyperactivity in children, gastritis, dermatological problems, weight gain, overweight, obesity, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, poor food absorption, and chronic fatigue.
Symptoms of food intolerance can be very troublesome. They can only be alleviated by avoiding contact with foods that contribute to the occurrence of digestive and many other system-related ailments. However, it is first necessary to determine which products cause unpleasant effects. To do this, food intolerance tests should be performed.
Food Intolerance Tests at Fast Medica
FoodPrint® tests are conducted by Cambridge Diagnostics Laboratory. The food intolerance test involves measuring food-specific IgG using modern tools with high diagnostic value. The test will identify the products that may be causing the patient’s symptoms.
The panels cover a wide range of products, including those commonly consumed in traditional Polish cuisine as well as those from various regions of the world. Each panel includes the products most frequently causing reactions. Because even the least critical dietary product can often cause symptoms, it is worth considering one of the broader panels.
Why Perform FoodPrint® Laboratory Tests?
- The test meets the standards for in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDD98/79EC),
- High sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy ensure the reliability of the results,

Food Intolerance Testing – Cambridge Diagnostics
The food intolerance test offered by Cambridge Diagnostics is based on the ELISA method (Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay, read more: Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay – ELISA). The tests meet the standards for in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDD98/79EC), and are characterized by high sensitivity, specificity, and repeatability of results, which are authorized by a laboratory diagnostician. An additional advantage of Cambridge Diagnostics’ diagnostics is the ability to perform tests with a small amount of capillary blood, collected in a simple and non-invasive manner from the finger. The test is not painful for the patient.
