Dr. Magdalena Pogwizd is a graduate of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. After completing her studies, she continued her professional training at the University Hospital in Kraków. She completed her specialization in internal medicine in 2010. In the following years, she gained extensive experience in endocrinology and diabetology at the Endocrinology Clinic of the University Hospital in Kraków.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Magdalena Pogwizd was also involved in scientific research for several years. Her doctoral dissertation, defended in 2015, focused on thyroid diseases, specifically the use of radioiodine in the treatment of hyperthyroidism. She specializes in treating hormonal disorders in adults, particularly thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, and adrenal gland diseases. She has expertise in both internal medicine and endocrinology. Dr. Pogwizd also performs thyroid ultrasounds and works daily at an NHS hospital.
